COST
The price of a 53-minute session can vary based on whether you use insurance. With insurance, you might have a copay of $10.00 - $60.00. If you pay out of pocket, the cost is $100.00, unless we agree to a different rate.
Do you accept insurance?
Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Oscar Health in North Carolina are currently accepted via link at Headway.co.
BCBS of NC is accepted directly via the practice.
Hallock Counseling also collaborates with Grow Therapy to increase access for both insured and non insured clients in North Carolina and New York (access link to explore benefits, etc).
Rights to Good Faith Estimate
If you are not enrolled in a health benefits plan, or choose to not use your health benefits to pay for therapy services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services. Please submit your request for a Good Faith Estimate to adam@hallockcounseling.com. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What are the benefits of counseling?
Establishing a good relationship with a counselor has many benefits. Therapy provides a safe and private space for emotional support, guidance, learning coping skills, becoming stronger, trusting yourself more, and staying focused on the present.
Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely! You can get a free 15-minute consultation over the phone on almost any day of the week. This time can be used to figure out your needs and make sure we're a good match. Just call 828-672-3022, and remember, the voicemail is confidential.
How/Where does therapy take place?
Therapy occurs via web based Telehealth video mediums such as Doxy.Me. Phone/Audio-only sessions are also available upon request. Hours of availability are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
What conditions/disorders do you treat? Do you work with couples or families?
Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Struggles (attachment, codependency), Mood instability, Anger issues, Panic Disorder, Bipolar, Adjustment, Life Transitions;
I prefer to work with individuals as opposed to couples or families.
